Leselles is a women's brand for women. That is why every month we put in the spotlight an inspiring, enterprising and engaging woman who takes up the ambassadorship of Leselles .
Name: Loes van Look
Residence: Antwerp / Paris (from March 1, 2022)
Profession: Event florist
Biggest passion: ' Flowers! My work is also my greatest passion.'
At the top of my achievable bucket list:“The idea has been at the top of my bucket list for over five years, but very soon I will finally be moving to Paris. I've been coming here very often for ten years now and I actually feel more at home there than here in Belgium. Since the coronapandemic , I mainly derive my income from online courses and workshops, which I will continue to do from Paris. I might scale back the decoration of events a bit, but I hope to be able to expand my work for shoots there.'
From where do you know Leselles ‘Actually through my job: Geert, Liesbet's husband, is my flower supplier. I immediately liked the color and aesthetics of Leselles . They fit into the picture that I also feel comfortable with.”
Favorite Leselles Color or Piece:‘My scarf interracotta color. It fits perfectly into my color scheme. I have some kind of terracotta fetish(laughs). It must be way too hot before I don't wear it anymore.'

'For me personally, sustainability mainly has to do with timelessness. I want pieces to last for years'
What is your fashion motto
‘When people ask that, I always think of a statement from my mom: there is no such thing as overdressed. You better stand out in beauty. That idea has always stuck with me.'
What is the favorite piece in your wardrobe right now??
‘Wrap dress in black velvet with a print of terracotta-colored flowers. I've had the dress for eight years, but I still wear it quite often. I can wear them both during the day and in the evening and they are very comfortable. As I get older I want to have everything really practical. Feel free to think of it as a kind of pajamas that also look nice (laughs).”
Do you have a go-to outfit you could wear every day?
‘Another black wrap dress, with boots and a hat. I wear a lot of hats myself. When it's cold, I always want to have something on my head - in the spring and autumn it becomes a beret or a hat.'
And what do you wear if it can be a little more?
‘I often wear the same thing during the day and in the evening, only I change shoes. In the evenings, for example, I go for a boot with a heel. But overall, I think my look is pretty consistent. During the day I may be just a little overdressed, but I feel quite comfortable with that actually.'
What is your biggest fashion blunder??
‘I've been coloring my hair for a long time, black or pink or something else ... I used to have really bright purple hair, on the verge of fluo, and I combined that with extensions. That was a lot(laughs). But at the time, it actually matched who I was with: I just got out of fashion school and I wanted to stand out. So theoretically that might not even be a blunder.”
Online or offline shopper?
‘I actually shop offline, but I do my research online. I spend a lot of time online, way too much actually, so I usually already know exactly what I want when I enter the store. I rarely, if ever, go shopping all day, but I do go to a specific store to try on a particular piece. I always want to feel it. I'm also so bad at sending it back when a piece isn't right, and that's such a sin!'
How important is sustainability to you when you go shopping?
‘Sustainable brands have an advantage for me anyway. Although for me personally, sustainability mainly has to do with timelessness. I want pieces to last for years. I don't buy a lot, but I want every piece I buy to last and stay beautiful.'
Trendy or timeless?
‘Timeless. My style is also pretty consistent, so anything I buy in my own style will last. I'm not that sensitive to trends.'
Which color comes back most often in your wardrobe?
‘Terracotta and black.”
Do you have a style icon?
‘I think Florence Welch from Florence & The Machine. The combination of the soft and the wild, who she is as a person and in style. She is both very dreamy and very wild, a little fairytale and a little boho.”
Which piece from your wardrobe will you never throw away??
‘A black transparent vintage blouse with a lace collar. There's been a hole in it for three years, which I can't fix either. And yet I'm not getting rid of them. I see that blouse now as a kind of memory. Sometimes I hang them up in my room.”
